The 9/11 Memorial and Museum stands in remembrance of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. It is located at the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan and is open to the public. The Memorial honors the nearly 3,000 people who died in the attacks, as well as those who risked their lives to save others. The Museum tells the story of the attacks, the aftermath, and how the world has changed since then.

Hours of Operation

The 9/11 Memorial and Museum is open 7 days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The last entry is at 8:00 p.m. The Memorial and Museum are closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Admission

Admission to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum is free for all visitors. However, advanced ticket reservations are required for all visitors, including those with Museum Memberships. Tickets can be reserved up to 30 days in advance. Reservations are available for the same day on a first-come, first-served basis.

Group Visits

Groups of 10 or more must make a reservation to visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. Groups of 10 to 25 people must make a reservation at least two weeks in advance. Groups of 26 or more must make a reservation at least four weeks in advance.

Visitor Services

The 9/11 Memorial and Museum offers a variety of visitor services to make your visit as enjoyable and meaningful as possible. Visitor Services staff are available to answer questions, provide directions, and assist with audio guides. Free audio guides are available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Mandarin. The audio guide is narrated by actors Robert De Niro and Martin Sheen.

The 9/11 Memorial and Museum is committed to providing an accessible experience to all visitors. The Museum is wheelchair-accessible and has an elevator. Wheelchairs are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign language interpreters and assistive listening devices are available with advanced notice.

Rules and Regulations

No weapons, food, or drinks are allowed in the Museum. All bags, backpacks, and other items must be checked. No photographs or video are allowed in certain areas of the Museum. Museum Highlights Tour

The Museum Highlights Tour is a guided tour of the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. The tour takes visitors through the most important and moving exhibits of the Museum. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and is limited to 15 people.

Museum Store

The 9/11 Memorial and Museum Store offers a variety of items that commemorate the events of September 11, 2001. Items include books, clothing, jewelry, artwork, and collectibles. All proceeds from the store support the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
