History of Rodin’s Garden

The history of Rodin’s Garden begins in 1880, when the artist began to transform the area of the garden, originally owned by a relative of his wife, into a sculpture park. He filled the garden with his sculptures, as well as other plants and trees, creating a unique environment. After his death in 1917, the garden was acquired by the French government and opened to the public in 1919.
