The Museum Entrance

The entrance to the 9/11 Memorial Museum is located at 180 Greenwich Street, near the corner of Liberty Street and Greenwich Street. Upon entering the museum, visitors will be greeted by a large bronze sculpture entitled “The Sphere”, which was once located in the plaza of the World Trade Center. The sculpture, created by German artist Fritz Koenig, was damaged in the attack, but still stands as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.

Once inside the museum, visitors will be able to explore the many exhibits and artifacts, including a recreation of the South Tower Lobby, photographs of the victims, and a memorial wall with the names of all 2,983 people who died in the attacks. The museum also includes interactive displays, including a “virtual tour” of the North Tower lobby, as well as a timeline of events leading up to and following the attacks.

The Memorial Plaza

The 9/11 Memorial Museum is located in the memorial plaza of the former World Trade Center site. The plaza features two large reflecting pools, which are each lined with the names of the victims of the attacks. The pools are surrounded by more than 400 trees, creating a peaceful and reflective atmosphere for visitors. The memorial plaza also features two steel beams from the original World Trade Center, which were salvaged from the site and are now displayed in a solemn and dignified manner.
