Park Güell is one of the most important attractions of Barcelona and one of the most visited places in the world. Park Güell Entrance Fees
Park Güell is a public park and the entrance to the park is free. However, there are certain areas of the park that require tickets for entrance. The Monumental Zone is the main area of the park and it is where you can find the iconic buildings, sculptures and mosaics. The entrance fee for the Monumental Zone is €7 for adults and €3.50 for children under 12 years old. There is also a €20 family ticket for two adults and two children.
Opening Hours
Park Güell is open from 9am to 9pm from April to October and from 8am to 6pm from November to March. The Monumental Zone has different opening hours depending on the day. From Monday to Thursday, it is open from 10am to 6pm and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, it is open from 10am to 8pm. It is closed on 1st January, 25th December and 5th January.
How to Get to Park Güell
Park Güell can be reached by public transport from Barcelona city centre. The closest metro station is Lesseps on line 3 (green line) and the closest bus stop is Vallcarca on bus 24. You can also reach the park by car but there is limited parking available.
What to See at Park Güell
The Monumental Zone of Park Güell is the main area of the park and it is where you can find the iconic buildings, sculptures and mosaics. This area is divided into two parts – the upper and lower levels. The upper level is where you can find the famous Gaudí House, the Hypostyle Room, the Greek Theatre and the Dragon Staircase. The lower level is home to the Hypostyle Room, the Sala de los Mosaicos and the Monumental Steps.
Upper Level
- Gaudí House – This is the house where Gaudí lived from 1906 until his death in 1926. It is now a museum and you can explore the different rooms and see the original furniture.
- Hypostyle Room – This is one of the most iconic areas of Park Güell and it is home to Gaudí’s famous mosaic dragon. It is also a great place to take photos.
- Greek Theatre – This is a large open-air theatre and it is used for concerts, theatre performances and other events.
- Dragon Staircase – This is one of the most impressive features of Park Güell and it is decorated with Gaudí’s famous dragon sculpture.
Lower Level
- Hypostyle Room – This is a large room with columns and arches and it is decorated with Gaudí’s famous mosaics.
- Sala de los Mosaicos – This is a large room with a mosaic floor and walls and it is one of the most beautiful areas of Park Güell.
- Monumental Steps – This is a large staircase with mosaics and it is a great place to take photos.
