Enchanted Storybook Castle: Shanghai Disneyland’s Crown Jewel
Shanghai Disneyland is a place of wonder and excitement. From thrilling roller coasters to delightful shows, there is something for everyone to enjoy. But the crown jewel of this magical kingdom is the Enchanted Storybook Castle. This incredible structure stands at a staggering 137 meters tall and is the largest castle in any Disney park in the world.
History and Design
The Enchanted Storybook Castle was designed by Imagineer and Vice President of Creative Development, Joe Rohde. He was inspired by the idea of bringing together classic Disney stories and Chinese culture. The castle was designed to look like a traditional Chinese palace, but with a touch of Disney magic.
The castle is filled with details inspired by classic Disney stories, such as the Beast’s Castle from Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella’s Castle from Cinderella. The design also incorporates traditional Chinese elements such as the red and gold colors of Chinese palaces.
The castle houses many exciting attractions, such as the Voyage to the Crystal Grotto, an amazing boat ride that takes you through the castle’s interior. You will be amazed by the magical music, special effects, and Disney characters that you will encounter on this journey.
The castle also has a spectacular fireworks show that takes place every night. You will be mesmerized by the colorful display of lights and music.
Food and Shopping
The Enchanted Storybook Castle is home to some of the best food and shopping in the park. The Royal Banquet Hall serves up some of the most delicious Chinese cuisine in the park. You can also find many souvenirs, toys, and apparel in the shops located inside the castle.
The Enchanted Storybook Castle is a must-see for anyone visiting Shanghai Disneyland. From its stunning design to its exciting attractions and delicious food, it is truly a place of magic and wonder.
